Effective Training

Manufacturers in the Chicagoland area are desperate for effective training. Our industry needs knowledgeable workers to fill the gap between increasing skill demands of employers and the decreasing experience of the workforce. Everybody feels the need for a school with hands-on training where students spend most of their time and focus on the CNC machines.
Symbol Job Training is such an educational facility for CNC coaching. We provide hands-on training on production machinery. Our classes lead students through tool changes, offsets adjustments, program debugging and program verification processes. In class we discuss tooling, blue print reading and metal technology in addition to other areas of machining which are crucial for the CNC profession.
Manufacturing industries investing large capital into metalworking equipment, and Symbol Job Training is the place for training craftsmen to run them.
Symbol Job Training offers programs that provide students with the knowledge and skills required to help them become a CNC professional. Students learn through hands-on practical experience how to program and operate CNC equipment: Vertical machining centers and Turning centers.

High Demand for CNC Workers

In the manufacturing environment, shops face constant pressure to lower prices and reduce lead time. Although, modern machines and technology help to cut down on cycle time and raise the quality of produced parts, it is still not enough to succeed in this industry. Shops with updated technology need well trained workers to keep up with their constantly growing demands.
In order to succeed and stay above their competition, manufacturing companies need to invest in training for their employees.

AMERICAN MACHINIST magazine states the following:
“Shops need personnel who have technical skills, who can think on their feet and who are adept at problem solving. For instance, machine operators must understand what is going on behind the scenes to understand the screen data they look at on a machine as a part is produced. Forward-thinking shops give employees a broad perspective on technologies with continual training on such topics as CNC programming and CNC lathe and milling machine operation, even though those employees may not be programmers or machine operators.”
This is exactly the training that Symbol Job Training provides. Our students train on production machinery in a shop environment.
